sadThank-you so much for your incredible contribution to the franchise. I thoroughly enjoyed the character development on #SGU, loved the action-adventure of #SGA and #SG1. I have been continually impressed by the performances in the shows, not only by the leads but by the recurring characters and guest stars.
Some scenes that touched me throughout the years:
The Shrine - Beer on the pier (that was perfect from the dialogue to the performances), Aftermath - Riley and Young on the crashed shuttle and the clever use of the kino (brings tears to my eyes), the Wait for it kino (appealed to my prankishness), Air - Young flying through the gate (first time I thought "is that a f*cking real person?"), Incursion Pt 2 - Eli telling Chloe "whatever happens, you know, right", The Hunt - Rush giving romantic advice to Volker & Volker's reaction (I identified with it all), Abyss - the conversation between Jack and ascended Daniel, Aftermath - the shuttle crash (wow!), Search and Rescue - McKay helping Teyla give birth, Broken Ties - The Ronon/Tyre fight sequence, Window of Opportunity - the filler groundhog day scenes, Threads - scenes with Carter with her father and with Jack, Heroes - losing Janet. I feel I'm doing a disservice not naming them all there's too many but I particularly want to mention the DVDs. They are the best box sets ever. I adore the special features so thanks Ivon and all of the cast and crew for giving their time to make them.
Thanks in particular to Brad Wright and Robert Cooper for being the driving force behind Stargate, particularly Brad who worked so hard to get the movie. If only I was a multi-millionaire. I think I let you down. We started watching Stargate because of Richard Dean Anderson so thanks to him for introducing us to so many wonderful characters, actors, writers, directors etc.
Lastly, thank-you for the time you have extended to me these past years, online and at cons - for answering my questions, humouring my photoshop projects and pranks and putting up with me in general. It really has been a blast.
I wish each and every one of you the best in your future projects. Something wonderful is just around the corner for you and I will be watching.
